Our hotel was built on a foundation of the history of the port of San Juan del Sur in 1902.  We wanted to preserve the architectural design of the Victorian English from when it was built as a family residence and bring it into the 21st century.  It is elegant and welcoming and offers its visitors and guests an unforgettable experience.

Hotel Victoriano is one of the oldest houses in the city built over a century ago by British immigrant William Herbert George Cross who ran the cable company in San Juan del Sure in the early 1900´s.The house was then sold to the Somoza family and became a beach house for Portocarrero Hope, the wife of Anastasio Somoza Debayle.

Enjoy a boutique hotel preserved since 1902 with fine wood furnishings and a heavenly Victorian design.  Within its walls you will find the history of the city and the suite where Mark Twain stayed during his recreation of the Transit route.  You can also admire the stunning sunsets over the bay of San Juan del Sur.
